Detoxification

The treatment program at The Camp specializes in helping young men and women who are struggling in school and exhibiting “acting out” behavior in conjunction with their drug use or alcohol abuse.

We have been the trusted destination to help young women and men from all over California who come to us with a variety of problems that are exacerbated by alcohol or drug use.  In the last several years, our facility has seen an inordinate amount of young people coming in with an addiction to opiate drugs (like OxyContin or heroin) and also many young people are marijuana abusers.

Detoxification is A Critical Time

It can be scary and requires courage to accept help for a chemical dependency.  The Camp knows this and goes to great length to provide access to a detoxification process that will help them safely and comfortably remove the drugs from their system.

More About Detox

The primary goal of detoxification is physical stabilization and comfort under the supervision of an expert clinical staff.  During this time, the foundation can be laid for a program of recovery, but true healing begins after the drugs and/or alcohol are out of the person’s system.
Treatment will be monitored  by our nurses and addiction counselors. A thorough assessment will determine the necessity of a detox program. During detoxification, the symptoms of withdrawal can be uncomfortable and may make the patients’ first few days in treatment challenging. Our staff takes great pains to  “meet the patient where they are,” and quickly encourage them to continue their recovery by educating them about:
  • the disease of addiction
  • what they are going through
  • the immediate health and emotional benefits of abstinence from their drug of choice
We can assist with detoxification from:
- alcohol
- benzodiazepines
- meth
- cocaine
- and all other drugs
Once stabilized, the resident is ready to begin a structured residential treatment program that can bring together the emotional, physical and spiritual aspects of the recovery process. The Camp’s goal is to provide the resident with all available resources to help recover and return to a healthy, drug-free life.  For more information, contact our admissions department by calling 877-577-6237.
